Dr. Trevor T. Zachariah received his bachelor’s degree in zoology and D.V.M. degree from Michigan State University. Dr. Zachariah is also an alumnus of Louisiana State University, where he participated in an exotic pet and wildlife medicine internship and received his master’s degree in veterinary clinical sciences. He completed the Chicago Zoological and Aquatic Animal Residency Program through the University of Illinois, Brookfield Zoo, Lincoln Park Zoo, and John G. Shedd Aquarium. Dr. Zachariah achieved board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2013. He has served as the Director of Veterinary Programs at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida since 2010 and the Director of the Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center since 2014.
Dr. Zachariah is active in many professional zoo and exotic animal veterinary associations, as well as related scientific journals. He has experience with a broad variety of reptile species in both captive and field settings. Dr. Zachariah also has a strong interest in invertebrate animal medicine.
